Objective:

The PSIP Medasys prototype is based on the company's Electronic Health Record, namely DxCare®. It is integrated into the DxCare® system as a "team player", in order to display PSIP information as suggested actions rather than as intrusive alerts.

Data source:

The PSIP Medasys prototype is designed to fire the set of Adverse Drug Events automatic detection rules base elaborated in the PSIP project. It contains 10 fake patients to play with.

Use:

1) Consult the list of patients with a PSIP alert
2) Consult the PSIP alerts of a selected patient
3) Consult one of DxCare’s patients lists with the display of PSIP information

As an Electronic Health Record, Dxcares provides many of the functionalities needed in the everyday work of a hospital. DxCare® is designed as a set of modules, each one dedicated to a specific business. Thus, the Medasys PSIP prototype itself is not standalone software but a set of extra functionalities incorporated into some existing modules.

The video presents the prototype in two phases:
- in a first time a short presentation of the Electronic Health Record and its modules
- in a second time a test case simulating a drug prescription that fires rules dedicated to Adverse Drug Events detection
